Description

The DHT22 is a low-cost, high-precision environmental sensor used to track atmospheric conditions. It houses a capacitive humidity sensor element and a high-precision NTC thermistor to capture environmental variables. Internal processing transforms these readings into a calibrated, single-bus digital data packet transmitted over a single serial port.This specific version comes mounted onto a breakout PCB that includes an onboard pull-up resistor and filtering capacitor. This design simplifies the standard 4-pin bare sensor structure down to a plug-and-play 3-pin configuration, entirely bypassing the requirement for external resistors. It interfaces seamlessly with popular development microcontrollers, such as an Arduino Uno R3, ESP32, ESP8266, or Raspberry Pi, making it a staple component for weather tracking, HVAC automation, greenhouse cultivation, and smart home IoT systems.
